A creative brand evolution for an innovative cancer charity

Sarcoma UK

Brand Refresh

Sarcoma UK is a national cancer charity that funds research, supports anyone affected by sarcoma and campaigns for better treatments. They came to us looking for a new identity that frames them as leaders in sarcoma support and information.

Problem

Sarcoma UK is a national cancer charity that funds research, supports anyone affected by sarcoma and campaigns for better treatments. They want to be known as the go-to charity for support and information for Sarcoma and be recognised as a key influencer in driving research and influencing change. They needed a modernised brand to reflect this ambition.

Solution

The new brand was built off the creative idea ‘small but mighty’. It can be expressed in different ways that apply to the charity and it’s work - how the disease itself is rare but causes huge devastation, how the charity itself is small and reactive so can have a big impact for their size, how telling just one personal story can have such a huge impact on someone else living with Sarcoma.

The visual identity is an evolution of the existing brand but modernising it through a brighter colour palette, a simplified logo and a graphic language that builds out from the logo positioning Sarcoma UK as an amplifier.

Thank you for N&S’s work on our brand refresh. I think it all looks amazing and the feedback from staff, trustees, supporters and volunteers has been overwhelmingly positive. I’ve worked with many branding and comms agencies over the years and it was great to work with you. You were a great mix of insight, creativity, responsiveness and professionalism.
