Since 2012, Ben & Jerry's Join Our Core has supported a whole host of entrepreneurs trying to solve problems in our society. To shine a light on some of these amazing entrepreneurs and the important work they're doing, Ben & Jerry's asked us to pay a visit to some of them and film a day in their lives.
Problem
Join Our Core is Ben & Jerry's search for budding young social entrepreneurs around the world. Since 2012, Join Our Core has supported a plethora of entrepreneurs, all of whom are trying to solve problems in our society. To shine a light on some of these amazing entrepreneurs, and the important work they're doing, Ben & Jerry's asked us to pay a visit to some of them and film a day in their lives.
Solution
Based in Gothenburg, Mitt Liv is a social enterprise seeking to increase diversity in Sweden's labour market. Founded by the charismatic Sofia Appelgren, Mitt Liv works with both job seekers and companies, increasing diversity in a wide range of industries and giving people the opportunity to earn a new life for themselves. Working with a small crew, we spent a few days with Sofia, filming her life and her work, and some of the people she is helping.
Impact
The films sit on the Join Our Core website, encouraging budding entrepreneurs to sign up to the Join Our Core competition, and they also live on YouTube and on the dedicated global Ben & Jerry's channel. These films provide an insight not only into the work that Ben & Jerry's is doing, but also the amazing impact these social enterprises are having.
