In 2012 Ben & Jerry's partnered with Ashoka to find and grow the top social entrepreneurs in Europe. In 2014 they decided to take Join Our Core global, and asked us to create an animation that would get social entrepreneurs from around the world to enter.
Problem
Ben & Jerry's believe that businesses should make communities better. They've been doing it since they set up in an old gas station in Vermont in 1978. In 2012 Ben & Jerry's partnered with Ashoka to find and grow the top social entrepreneurs in Europe. They called it Join Our Core and in 2014 they decided to take it global! Ben & Jerry's came to us looking for a animation to get social entrepreneurs from around the world to enter the Join Our Core competition. After a few tubs exchanged hands, we got to work.
Solution
It’s really what’s inside that counts when it comes to social entrepreneurs and Ben & Jerry’s. It’s about having integrity and wanting to make a positive impact through business. So we created an animation that looked inside a tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, to explain why Ben & Jerry’s are looking for social entrepreneurs that share the same passion, values and drive as they do.
Impact
The animation was pushed out across Ben & Jerry’s social media channels, with a reach of over 8 million followers. The animation also took users through to the Join Our Core website to encourage them to submit their business ideas to create social impact.
